**About the Role**
As the Marketing, Communications and Events (MCE) Coordinator you will hold a key role within the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI), which represents the mathematical sciences nationwide and plays a significant and influential role in advocating for the strengthening of mathematical sciences in Australia.

The MCE Coordinator will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of robust marketing plans and strategies, to implement AMSI’s strategic objectives, encompassing branding and positioning, donation campaigns, digital and social media, networking and outreach activities for AMSI. You will coordinate key marketing and communication initiatives targeting the full range of AMSI stakeholders, including AMSI members, government agencies, industry, government, teachers and students.

The MCE Coordinator will also provide pivotal support for AMSI’s Research and Higher Education events and activities. This includes event management and operations, and other support tasks. The MCE Coordinator reports to the AMSI Director.

Responsibilities include:

- Planning and delivering marketing and communications functions for AMSI. Preparing EDMs and social media posts promoting AMSI according to schedule and source content
- Working with the AMSI Executive and external stakeholders to deliver strategic marketing advice and planning, to develop our marketing and communications strategy
- Planning and delivering donation campaigns for AMSI, in consultation with the AMSI Executive
- Supporting the Research and Higher Education team, to plan and deliver its events and activities

**About You**
You have well-developed Public Relations skills and employ creative thinking and agility in response to problems, while presenting constructive solutions. As you will be required to undertake a number of simultaneous projects, you will have great time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems is desirable but not essential.

You will also have:

- Completion of a relevant tertiary degree with significant experience and management expertise in strategic marketing, corporate communications and event management
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering strategic marketing activities to drive business development in a complex organisation
- Experience in project and/or event planning
- Strong written communication skills, including proofreading, editing, and the ability to draft messages for a variety of platforms and target audiences

**Work Rights**
This role requires current valid work rights for Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
