**The Role**
- Working alongside the Sales and Marketing Manager on function and event lead and conversions from initial concept development to event planning, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences
- Conduct site inspections, client follow-ups and liaison, creating detailed event orders, floorplans and post event evaluations.
- Work co-operatively with event operations and kitchen teams regarding handing over of functions to ensure seamless delivery.
- Working directly with preferred suppliers and fostering successful partnerships
- Build on client networks, relationships and opportunities to promote functions and events at both Zoo’s.
- Provide a unique and unforgettable service to customers and clients.
- Manage communication channels to ensure team effectiveness and efficiency.

**The Person**
- A proven track record in event sales and planning. This includes corporate functions and other large-scale gatherings.
- Prior experience working in similar large venue setting, allowing for insight into the unique challenges and considerations involved in managing events within a logístical environment.
- 4-5 years’ experience in a function venue, catering or hospitality or similar environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively coordinate teams of staff, vendors, and volunteers involved in event planning and execution.
- Excellent time management and communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to prioritise tasks.
- Proficiency in event management software or strong IT skills
