**Your next career opportunity**
As the Engagement and Events Coordinator for the Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity (AFSE), you'll play a pivotal role in activating the AFSE Hub through diverse community events and stakeholder engagement. You'll have the opportunity to nurture relationships with existing partners, support collaborations with other Atlantic Fellows programs, and contribute to the development of emerging connections. Your role will involve organising virtual, in-person, and hybrid events that showcase Fellows' work and highlight the program's impact.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Implement Communications and Engagement Strategy: Contribute to AFSE's strategy, supporting and promoting events to stakeholders and community members.
- Coordinate AFSE Hub engagement: Serve as the key point of contact for space management, bookings, and user support within the AFSE Hub.
- Organise Impactful Events: Collaborate with Fellows and University stakeholders to develop events that showcase Fellows' work and program impact.
- Support Indigenous Initiatives: Support engagement in events celebrating Indigenous communities and contribute to advancing targets set in the Murmuk Djerring Indigenous Strategy.

You are a culturally aware professional with strong event coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for fostering meaningful connections within diverse communities.

**You may also**:

- Have completed a degree with relevant work experience in event management or community engagement.
- Possess demonstrated knowledge and lived experience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Māori and/or Pacific Island communities and cultures.
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content creation and strategy implementation.
- Be experienced in developing engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Show strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
