We are seeking an experienced Operations Manger to oversee the daily running of our WA Operations team and lead them to success. Ideally your strengths will lie in the contracting world of mining. You will understand the grunt needed to build a solid cohesive team that can deliver to the requirements of our clients.

Critical to the success of this role, you will have strong leadership experience. You will be the principle contact and liaison with the WA Operations Team - motivating, inspiring and supporting them through collaboration of operational procedures.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager and working in a challenging and rewarding environment, your responsibilities will be:

- Building customer base with existing and potential new clients, driving better client satisfaction
- Influence decision making whilst collaborating closely with the operations team on forecasting, planning and mobilisation requirements for the field operations.
- Provide strategic advice in developing, implementing and review operational procedures and policies
- Ensuring AWE Mechanical achieves a standard of excellence in service delivery to all stakeholders and health and safety.
- Manage and report on Operation team
- Provide financial monthly management reports to Executive team
- Provide authentic leadership for the Operations team ensuring you mentor and guide their personal and professional growth
- Perform quality controls of processes and monitor Operations Team KPI’s
- Implement safety programs and ensure compliance with all safety policies

What you’ll bring:

- Proven experience as an Operations Manager in a mining contracting environment.
- Commercial and operational acumen enabling you to improve operational running costs
- Experience leading teams through commitment to achieve business objectives
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills to make quick decisions
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvements strategies
- Demonstrated experience with management reporting
