**The Role**:
Our client is a leading facilities management company, seeking a General Manager to join their organisation and lead the commercial and cleaning activities for their highest profile client.

Reporting into the COO, this business-critical position will take full responsibility of the day-to-day management of the contract and will be based on-site at the client's office.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Overall responsibility for the operational performance and the commercial activities of the organisation's largest contract.
- Managing a high performing team of 5 direct reports.
- Ensuring that the cleaning services are executed in a safe manner; are cost-effective and exceeding daily KPI’s.
- Building and strengthening relationships with the major stakeholders.
- This cleaning contract is responsible for delivering cleaning services.
- Identify growth strategies, process improvements, and seek opportunities for innovation to maximize productivity and success.
- Educate the client on cross selling opportunities.
- Work with the site leadership team to drive optimal performance.

**Experience Required**:

- Tertiary qualified ideally with minimum 5 years’ experience managing complex cleaning contracts.
- 5 years’ facilities management experience, ideally within the cleaning category but open to others if they display the right skillset and behaviours.
- Exceptional relationship management skills as this role will be working closely with the client daily.
- A natural leader experienced in developing and mentoring successful teams.
- Must be able to build rapport easily.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to create process and improvement systems in collaboration with others.
- A strong continuous improvement mindset with experience developing processes to improve operational capabilities.
- Experience in managing teams with differing shift times and driving efficiencies through order patterns, service levels and cost.
- Must be open to change, collaboration with the ability pushing back against internal teams that may show resistance.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to think strategically and alongside senior management but also manage day to day operations.
- Must be a team player who is motivated, driven and can drive change in an inclusive and collaborative manner.
