About the role
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the delivery of facilities management services across
three industrial and manufacturing sites
, based primarily in
Western Sydney
. The role includes
regular travel to Newcastle (twice per month)
and occasional overnight stays as required.
You will be responsible for ensuring all operational, safety, contractual, and financial obligations are met through proactive maintenance management, contractor leadership, and strong client relationships.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of Hard and Soft FM services across three heavy industrial sites.
- Manage all planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment uptime and site safety.
- Onboard, induct, and oversee contractors, promoting accountability and compliance with site protocols.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trades, and operational stakeholders, earning trust and respect on the floor.
- Drive cost efficiency and operational improvements, preparing accurate monthly performance and financial reports.
- Ensure full compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and site-specific safety systems.
- Partner with the broader operations team to support projects, audits, and asset lifecycle planning.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management within industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or processing environments.
- Proven ability to lead and influence trades, contractors, and site personnel with confidence and professionalism.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills — able to balance operational demands with client expectations.
- Solid financial acumen, with a history of achieving cost savings and efficiency gains.
- In-depth knowledge of WHS, building compliance, and risk management.
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in busy, production-driven sites.
- Proficient in CMMS/DMS systems
- Flexible to travel between Western Sydney and Newcastle, including overnight stays as needed.
