The hospital, is seeking a full-time hospital coordinator (HC) to provide exceptional customer service to hospital clients, staff, and referring veterinarians through the provision of workflow oversight and office administrative duties, including billing oversight and activity.

Working closely with the departments within the hospital, the hospital coordinator will assist in the customer service team to ensure clients have every opportunity for consultations at their preferred time. This involves analysing workflows of the multidisciplinary hospital to identify areas of improvement in line with the hospital continuous improvement plan. The HC will assist with the coordination between the back of house services to maintain and improve hospital cohesion and workflow effectiveness.

Referral veterinary hospital relationship management is a key focus of the role, where the HC will assist in receiving patients into our hospital by liaising with referral vets to provide gold standard care to our mutual patients.

The hospital coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all invoices prior to patient discharge to ensure correct and accurate billing. With the support of the operations manager and reception manager, the HC will ensure client estimates, consent and deposits are all supplied and monitored throughout the patients stay in hospital.

To be successful in this position you will have:

- Previous veterinary or health service administration experience
- Excellent client communication and customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a busy environment and cope with emergency and stressful situations
- Proficient use of a range of computer programs, including RxWorks
- Previous experience with banking reconciliation and corrective billing of accounts
- Previous experience in a specialty veterinary environment
