**The role**
ALS Geochemistry requires a **Maintenance Officer** to join our facility in **Malaga**.

This **Full-Time** position would suit a person willing and able to turn their hand to perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance duties, general facility site repairs, and simple metal fabrication tasks & repairs found in a laboratory facility.

The successful applicant will be given on-the-job training in all aspects of routine maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure they fully understand the task while also complying with ALS HSE policy.

This role allows the employee to expand their skill base into maintaining and repairing all on-site equipment.

**The essentials**
- Trade qualifications are not necessary. However, previous experience with power tools & equipment on a professional or personal level is essential.
- Good carpentry skills
- Mechanical aptitude is beneficial.
- Welding & mild steel experience highly regarded.
- Excellent work ethic
- Committed to a safety culture while maximising productivity.
- The ability to work autonomously with mínimal supervision whilst being committed to the work of a team.
- Current driver’s license (C class) manual and own transport to and from different sites in the Perth region.
- Proven ability to handle a busy and diverse workload.
