UON’s business centres around the design, manufacturing, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-grid power and water infrastructure, with many of the products manufactured in UON’s Malaga facility, based on proprietary and patented designs.

The solutions are standardised and engineered to solve the safety, financial, logístical, and environmental challenges of clients large and small.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join our HR team at UON’s Malaga Facility.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Providing recommendations and advice around key people related initiatives and processes including remuneration & benefits, employee relations, organisational development, change management, communication, culture and coaching.
- Provide timely day-to-day HR advice, support and consultancy to managers and employees in workforce planning, job design, recruitment and on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, remuneration, conflict resolution and off-boarding.
- Provide support and advice on resolution of performance issues and conflict management.
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment and selection
- Lead the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies to meet company needs and program goals.
- Support executive, management and employees in the interpretation and adherence to appropriate industrial agreements.
- Updating HR policies in line with current legislation and informing staff about changes.
- Ensure that effective document and data control occurs, to ensure appropriate personnel (including clients, project personnel, consultants and subcontractors) are issued with up-to-date documentation.
- Ensure the quality and compliance of HR documentation with appropriate storage.
- Perform monthly workforce reporting to the Executive / Management as required.
- Ensure Employment Agreements are compliant and suit business needs.
- Liaise with Payroll to track staff movements within business and changes of terms and conditions of employment
- Deliver internal courses as required including Induction presentations.
- Evaluating and updating job descriptions.
- Training and advising managers on strategies for recruitment, selection, and interview evaluation procedures.
- Participating in the appointment process for potential employees.
- Monitoring recruitment metrics such as retention rates and staff turnover.
- Discussing terms and conditions of employment and benefits with staff members.
- Reviewing employees' work progress using an employee appraisal system and making recommendations, if necessary.
- Using HR software to input and compile data on employees and updating the records regularly.

**To be successful in this role you must possess the following key requirements**:

- Preferably a minimum of 2 years Generalist HR experience.
- A tertiary degree in Human resources
- Current Australian ‘C’ class manual Drivers Licence.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
