**The Role**
- Purchasing materials for production, based upon the production plan requirements
- Negotiate item pricing, item contracts, competitive tenders and supplier agreements
- Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
- Track and provide commentary on purchase price fluctuations for product costings and customer pricing reviews.

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar role
- Food manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with purchasing in an ERP system
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Solid analytical skills with ability to conduct cost analysis and create financial inventory reports
- Understanding of stock counting processes
- Negotiation skills
