Responsible for the execution of all new leases and lease renegotiation for the assigned territory. Work closely with Director of Leasing, Development Team, Directors of Franchise Performance (DFP) franchisees and HQ staff to ensure that leases are handled properly and meet procedural requirements and company policies. The Leasing Manager participates and leads in projects identified to support process improvement, market optimization and other initiatives for Subway Marketing Operations (SMO)

**Position responsibilities include**:

- Work with and actively support franchisees, Subway territory agents and landlords on leasing matters.
- Lead the negotiations with the landlord and franchisees to reach a suitable outcome for all parties.
- Work on counter offers, getting instructions and making a decision on the way forward.
- Work closely with the legal team for any litigation claims that may arise as a result of mediation not being successful.
- Keep an accurate record of negotiations and their status and provide updates to the Leasing Manager and the Leadership Team as required.
- Work with the Leasing Specialists and ensure draft new leases contain agreed content and prepare finalised leases and supporting documentation for internal approvals.

**Knowledge and skills required**:

- Ability to mediate and negotiate with the landlord and franchisee, implementing and executing a reasonable outcome.
- Previous experience in a senior leasing position with ability to manage multiple stakeholders and to balance priorities across a large number of lease transactions.
- Resilience in order to have difficult conversations with stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation/processes for leases WA and preferred other state legislative bodies.
