
Registry Officer, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of

A Registry Officer primarily supports the Judicial Registrar, Deputy Registrars and the Senior Registry Officers in maintaining the day to day operations of the Court of Appeal.
**Duties include**:
- Perform a range of legal, administrative and quasi-judicial functions under limited supervision which contribute to the day to day operations of the Court of Appeal registry
- Assess written correspondence from internal staff and external court users and either reply, process or forward this correspondence where appropriate
- Manage and maintain the Court's computerised case management system (CourtView), statistical records, excel spreadsheets and manual filing systems
- Provide guidance to a wide range of court users about operations, policies, procedures, rules and legislation relevant to the Court of Appeal either via telephone, at the front counter or in writing
- Contribute towards the overall improvement of the registry by teaching, supporting and supervising staff in their learning and development, and suggesting improvements to practices and procedures where appropriate
- Supervising registry and/or administration officers
- Liaise closely and effectively with the Judicial Registrar, Deputy Registrars, judicial staff and other staff of the Court To be successful in the role you require good communication, interpersonal and organisations skills along with the ability to work effectively within a busy team environment.
