Product Sourcing Manager

ModelCo is looking for a Product Sourcing Manager to work across its award winning three categories, colour cosmetics, tanning and skincare. This instrumental role will see you use qualitative and quantitative data to source and produce innovative products for Australian and international markets.

A primary function of this role will be overseeing the planning, forecasting and analysing of all categories

Tasks include but are not limited to:

- Identify and develop on brand product concepts for new product ranges
- Manage all phases of formula development and new product innovation across all categories, in line with Brand Strategy
- Research and recommend innovative products across all colour, tanning and skincare categories
- Obtain and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to produce innovative products for Australian and international markets
- Establish relationships with 3rdparty laboratories to develop best in class formulas; responsible for lab briefs and communication with chemists
- Adhere to quality control standards, policies and procedures
- Manage production, approvals and review batch submissions
- Monitor and maintain on-time delivery of critical project milestones
- Brief and collaborate with packaging, creative and operational teams on developing the most appropriate delivery system and on-brand component for each launch
- Ensure all product packaging adheres to manufacture and brand style guides
- Ensure and analyse New Product Development is cost efficient and profitable
- Create, manage and execute Portfolio Strategy: Gap assessments, Pricing Strategy
- Manage new product financial planning and volume forecasting / P&L
- Managing timelines, budgets and processes to gain alignment on move projects from ideation to activation
- Lead internal communication with cross-functional departments as it relates to product briefs, formula evaluation, copy and claims, artwork and regulatory deliverables
- Leverage data, trends and support from internal teams to build a robust and actionable range plan to address knowledge gaps in consumer, brand, product, business and the marketplace
- Lead product efficacy and consumer testing
- Attend innovation tradeshows

YOUR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE DEPENDENT ON THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- EXTENSIVE work in product sourcing, research and development
- Tertiary degree
- Demonstrable and impressive track record of achievement in revenue growth, management of budgets, developing relationships with agency and publisher partners, team building and development
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Exceptional project management, organisational and communication skills
- Communicates and works effectively with people at all levels both internally and externally
- An understanding of the cosmetics and general beauty industry is essential

This role is based from ModelCo HQ in Rosebery, Sydney NSW.

This is a full time role, with head office being based in Rosebery, Sydney NSW.
