Our client is a well established , publicly listed and highly successful national fashion retailer. This is a rare opportunity for someone that can drive the strategic sourcing strategy and work collaboratively with a well resourced team.

Your experience sourcing from factories in locations such as China, Bangladesh, India, Vietnam and Cambodia will be key for this role, along with a thorough understanding of production.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the customer
  • Delivering excellent quality products
  • Managing capacity planning with key partners
  • Logistics planning
  • Strategic Sourcing and produce categories – apparel, footwear and accessories, from a collaborative product selection, price negotiation, order placement to warehouse delivery
  • Supplier relationship management - costing, weekly WIP, onboarding new suppliers
  • Managing factory compliance with shared services
  • Monitor customer returns
  • Work closely with the production team in fittings and approvals to ensure accurate and on-time delivery by managing the critical path

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Have at least 4 years' production and sourcing experience within apparel
  • Have an excellent understanding of product, production and retail
  • Have experience within a similar role within fashion retail
  • Thorough technical understanding of garment construction, fabrics and costings
  • Collaborative approach
  • Worked with factories globally
  • Excellent understanding of logistics
