Role: Payroll Analyst (Project Focused)
Location: Sydney, NSW (remote working, occasional commute to Paramatta)
Contract: 12 months fixed term contract (Possible permanent role)
**Salary**: $90,000 + Superannuation
Client: One of Australia's largest disability support providers
Responsibilities of the role:
- Assist the System Admin Lead in multiple payroll projects, including but not limited to; Chris21 configuration changes, Time and Attendance changes, pay cycle analysis, and new Enterprise Agreement changes.
- Testing new configuration in Chris21 and integration with other systems through payroll processes, excel analysis and reporting.
- Assist in pay cycle processing and employee data changes relevant to the different project tasks.
- Assist in interpretation of Industrial Agreements such as Awards, Certified Agreements, Letters of Appointment etc.
- Identify, establish, build and maintain effective network links and relationships with key internal stakeholders to the project.
- Ensure the efficient flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with internal parties involved in the projects.
- Ensure confidentiality when completing all payroll and associated duties and when speaking with colleagues.
- Assist System Admin Lead to conduct analysis of payroll metrics and recommend solutions that are consistent with the HWNS strategy and direction.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports when requested based upon information within the payroll system.
What success looks like in this role:
- Support the implementation and roll out of multiple payroll projects and changes, including; user testing, data analysis, reporting, process documentation and system training materials.
- Providing ad hoc support for payroll processing activities including adjustments and calculations.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to systems and processes.
- Strong, collaborative partnerships are built with internal stakeholders.
- Assist with payroll reporting for the purpose of correcting identified anomalies and extracting accurate reports.
- Maintain, update and adhere to security controls appropriate to the records management system for documentation completeness and currency of confidential records.
- Proactively support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and making recommendations to streamline existing practice.
