The OpportunityDue to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Analyst to join our finance team. In this role you will monitor and analyse all accounting data, producing financial reports and statements to establish and enforce proper accounting methods and principles. You will provide support to the Tax and Management Accountant Manager with all Management Accounting activities specifically across Payroll, Tax, PAYG and BAS.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports and track financial performance against budget
- Collect budget submissions from the departments and assist in the preparation of the annual budget
- Reconcile motor vehicle insurances with QBE and transit insurance with Glovis and assist in the preparation of the annual insurance declarations and renewals
- Ensure that all payroll transactions are processed efficiently (Prepare monthly payroll and relevant month-end activities efficiently and accurately)
- Prepare annual workers compensation insurance declarations and estimations nationally
- Prepare and complete relevant tax returns and taxable payment report
- Assist in the preparation of annual Fringe Benefits Tax Return.
- Maintenance of employee vehicles spreadsheet every quarter for Fringe Benefits Tax Return
- Preparation of monthly Business Activity Statement of each proceeding month for review
- Preparation of monthly PAYG Withholding Interest of each proceeding month for review
- Preparation of monthly PAYG on Salaries
- Preparation of superannuation payments of each proceeding month for review
- Review and manage the periodic dealer bonus approval process and program set up
You are looking to develop your career in accounting & payroll with an innovative brand and have the below skills and experience.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in accounting with 2-4 years' experience with processing payroll, payroll tax, month end journaling and payroll analysis.
- Experience with Tax, BAS, PAYG and FBT is desirable.
- Intermediate Excel skills with experience using Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Experience with Power Query is desirable.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to multiple deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal functions such as P&C, IT and Business Optimisation and external stakeholders.
