Are you an experienced payroll professional who wants to join a dynamic team? Our client, a well-regarded Sydney council, is seeking a
Payroll Analyst
to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, delivering accurate payroll, and contributing to process improvements.

  • Location: Central location in Sydney
  • 12 months contract, Asap start
  • $60 per hour plus super | 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule in line with legislation, awards, and policies.
  • Conduct payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain employee records, leave balances, and superannuation.
  • Support system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with
    TechOne
    highly desired
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a government environment
  • Excellent knowledge of local government legislations & awards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small projects involving detailed analysis and reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and high Excel proficiency.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
