Individual is expected to lead collaborative discussions with colleagues across IT Operations department to guarantee that automation solutions and improvements are fully meeting expectations. Members of this team are expected to proactively analyze trends to determine future opportunities to support IT Operations objectives. Individual must possess good communication skills and must be able to work collaboratively with leadership and technical colleagues.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Demonstrate technical leadership, represent ITCC and be proactively involved in automation strategy setting, advertise and encourage automation culture within the ITCC team.
- Be a go-to person for all automation related queries to ITCC colleagues, do training, KT or even mentorship if required.
- Own automation and enhancements agenda, propose, collaborate, guide, test, and refine existing or new solutions.
- Build ad-hoc, small effort automations for ITCC.
- Interface with technical and non-technical teams on ITCC behalf.
- Lead SME, Automation, ServiceNow feedback cycle.
- Continuously evaluate ITCC processes and make recommendations to improve.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions from the requirement gathering/discovery phase to production roll-out.
- Assist in evaluating technical documentation during intake process.
- This is a new role within the team so you will be strongly involved in creating the best practices.
- Clearly communicate initiative status, risks, challenges with ITCC Leadership; Present leadership and team members with iterative demonstrations to show development progress.
- Leverage experience to bridge the knowledge gap between the technical and non-technical.

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- 7+ years of experience in IT Operations or similar infrastructure role, leadership experience is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in scripting and programming languages (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell is an advantage).
- Experience with automation orchestration tool(s) (Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, Rundeck, etc.).
- Familiar with SDLC, SAFe and Agile methodologies.
- Familiar with ITSM tools (ServiceNow).
- Experience working with APM tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, AppDynamics).
- Experience with integrating multiple systems via APIs (REST, SWDL, etc.).
- Experience with Agile delivery utilizing modern cloud-based software tools (I.e., JIRA, automated testing).
- Experience managing, tuning, and maintaining the right balance of alerting by eliminating non-actionable issues.
