Technical Lead

Role

Our team is comprised of talented individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a Tech Lead with expertise in C#, React and Cloud Technologies to join our growing team and lead our development efforts in the Platforms squad.

Please note that we operate onsite working and would need someone to come into our Barangaroo office 5 days per week.

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for:

- Lead and manage a small group of developers/engineers fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Actively engage with Product Owners on sizing, estimates, priorities and best approaches for delivery.
- Ensure Agile Development methodologies are followed.
- Drive the technical architecture, design, and implementation of software solutions using C# and React.
- Ensure effective communication of squad delivery objectives to squad members.
- Highlight and manage impediments to delivery. E.g. Technical debt or any blockers in completing tasks.
- Set standards for technical excellence and standards for the squad to follow.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver features on time and with high quality.
- Actively involved in writing code to deliver solutions for the business.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- Actively involved in bringing in new practices and tools to maintain / increase the team’s code quality.
- CI/CD build pipeline improvements with industry best practices.
- Mentor and develop engineers' technical skills and ensure their continuous improvement. Be comfortable discussing performance management with staff.
- Knowledge transfer of business and technical skills to other squad members to ensure business continuity and ongoing support of the platform. Manage and resolve keyman risk.

Key Skills And Experience
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
- Significant experience in designing and setting up software architectures.
- Keen follower of best practices and applies them to the code base.
- 10+ Years C# experience
- 5+ Years React Front end development experience.
- Extensive Cloud based experience.
- Extensive Sql database query development with hands on corporate database production support experience.
- Excellent technical decision-making skills.
- Comfortable with contributing to complex technical discussions.
- Self-motivated individual who can take ownership of tasks.
- Good understanding of user experience best practices
- Recent practical hands-on development experience in an agile commercial environment.
