As part of the wider People Team, the Learning & Development Design Specialist plays a key part in creating engaging and effective learning solutions, the role also involves managing and maintaining learning delivery, content, and knowledge through the learning management system.

You will be collaborating closely with your leader, other Learning Delivery and Design Specialists, and business SMEs to make sure learning solutions are well-planned, delivered, and evaluated to meet specific business requirements.

This will be a full time, 12 month contract position based in the Sydney or Newcastle office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver to the EML learning strategy and learning priorities for each business unit.
- Provide effective customer-centric service across all aspects of L&D.
- Design and individual and group learning initiatives as required.
- Undertake relevant administration tasks, including learning content, knowledge management, learning management and other systems, to ensure compliance and adherence to policy, procedure and processes.
- Utilise contemporary adult learning design principles and frameworks to ensure effective and high-quality learning solutions.

ABOUT YOU
- 2 years’ experience within a similar learning design role.
- Proficient in instructional design tools (e.g.: Articulate Storyline, Adobe tools, LMS (Workday preferred).
- Understanding of instructional design models like ADDIE.
- Experienced in audio and video scripts and digital video editing.
- Demonstrate creative experience in learning design, development and review of learning programs including eLearning.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and methodologies, best practice e-learning design.
- Experience in Workers Compensation or regulatory compliance environment would be highly advantageous.
- Experience in training delivery would be advantageous.
