
Project Planning Coordinator

Chandler Macleod has an amazing opportunity for experienced Project Planning Coordinator with our client, an employer of choice in the Peel region of WA, in their Asset Management based out of their Booragoon office. The Planning Project Coordinator will be responsible for the facilitation and coordination of important aspects of long-term planning, including support for standards, documentation, communication, and budget management.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Coordinate and drive the framework for the documentation of standards & procedures that are to be completed by the team.
- Prepare presentations for Long Term Mine Plans (LTMP), Resource Development Plans, Life of Asset Plans, Dept Budgets, and other critical stakeholder presentations. This will involve coordinating with team members and project managing the deliverables.
- Responsible for project management of the Tactical Action Plan. This including facilitation of the meetings, follow up for updates, drive outcomes, escalate quickly if required
- Assess risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
- Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
- Coordinate successful alignment and delivery of Annual and Long-Term Plans across the Operations (monitoring milestones, provide updates/reminders and support)
- Develop and deploy presentation template updates for Operations and Asset Management planning
- Record and send out meeting minutes for all key meetings - LTMP, Ore sterilisation, 10-year Plan, Annual Plan reviews with the Operations Lead Team (OLT)
- Coordinate budget planning (approval sits with Global Planning Director)
- Coordinate Asset Management Budget presentation and Forecast (liaise with Finance, Dept Managers)
- Responsible for storage and management of planning deliverables and source planning data, including managing site permissions
- Lead and manage small adhoc improvement projects
Qualifications and skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project management, Engineering, Finance, Commerce or equivalent is essential.
- 5 years + Mining Industry experience is essential
- Significant experience in managing project schedules including gantt charts, project management tools - multiple project schedules at once.
- Excellent computer technical proficiency - Powerpoint, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, Other collaboration and project management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to all levels of the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to influence broad range of stakeholders and facilitate effectively to get collaborated decisions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
