WesTrac is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team in South Guildford, WA.

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, this role is responsible for the day to day management of the payroll function and the effective and timely processing of WesTrac employee wages/salary and entitlements payments. This includes ensuring payments are made in accordance with all relevant awards, approved contracts and WesTrac policies. Additionally, the Payroll Officer will ensure associated personnel records is maintained within secured payroll systems as required to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

This role would suit someone who is a team player and has a positive work ethic with strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain (verbally and written) to managers at all levels.

**About You**:
Experience with payroll administration/timesheet administration (essential)

Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent discipline such as Finance (desirable)

Experience in a payroll position or similar (desirable)

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships

Intermediate computer literacy skills (MS Office)

High attention to detail with the ability to analyse data, identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives

Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously

Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately
