UX/UI Designer

**Overview**

The UX/UI Designer is responsible for designing features for our digital products that meet people’s needs. This role will create desirable, usable and compelling experiences, design original concepts, and work with established design principles and our design system to consistently deliver high value user experiences. The role will also be responsible for informing designs with user research and usability testing to ensure products are validated with users and fit-for-purpose.

- **Parramatta based but open to Melbourne as well
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively with Product and clients to understand business objectives and articulate product vision through effective and efficient experience design
- Translate concepts into wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
- Understand product specifications, technical and business requirements, and define user requirements
- Conduct concept and usability testing to gather feedback and create personas
- Develop task flows, wireframes and prototypes based on user needs
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to technical and delivery stakeholders
- The role will require the ability to assemble and facilitate/lead virtual teams through design lifecycle
- Identify and consider risk and security impacts of designs
- Follow relevant design governance processes
- Develop accessible designs to comply with WCAG 2.2 Level AA

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Proven experience in UX/UI design (minimum 3 years)
- Experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders across product, development, and portfolios to successfully go from early-stage product discovery to deployment
- Experience in financial services or any highly regulated industry
- Experience working with design systems
- Strong experience in interaction design and human-centered design methodologies
- Ability to manage design activities, deliverables, timelines and deadlines
- Ability to produce designs of a varying fidelity appropriate to delivery stage
- Workshop facilitation experience will be highly regarded
- Proficient in design software (Figma preferred)
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Problem-solving aptitude and analytical mindset with a business acumen
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present designs to stakeholders, and justify design decisionsQualifications in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
