**DEPARTMENT**

The Clinical Governance Unit (CGU) consists of a team of quality and safety professionals who work closely and collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders and teams to foster a culture of risk management, clinical effectiveness and continuous improvement. CGU strategically supports implementation of the clinical governance program across Alfred Health to drive delivery of safe and high-quality patient centred care.

The Clinical Governance Unit consists of three staff streams:

- Risk Management
- Quality and Safety Systems
- Quality Standards and Improvement

The Legislative Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the management, governance and oversight of Alfred Health’s legislative compliance obligations.

The role works closely with the Quality and Safety Data Systems Manager to provide direction to Alfred Health’s Legislative Compliance Framework and to administer the legislative compliance system. They will support compliance managers to review the relevant legislation, complete obligation self -assessments and to document evidence of compliance and action plans to address partial or non-compliance.

- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills in a complex environment.
- Proven ability to engage, collaborate with and influence a diverse group of internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem solving and lateral thinking capability.
- Is well organised, with excellent time management and planning skills
- Strong report writing skills, attention to detail and ability to prepare/present information in a professional manner consistent with the target audience.

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

**_ Essential_**
- Tertiary qualification in health
- Technical skills in the management of an electronic database
- Experience successfully working as part of a team and autonomously

**_ Desirable_**
- Demonstrated experience in implementing policy and guideline frameworks in a large complex organisations
- Experience in project coordination and change management
