Legislative Compliance Specialist

This role focuses on supporting key stakeholders in the legal and compliance aspects of their functions.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in delivering high-quality support, training, and coaching to enforcement-based officers, ensuring they adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
About the Role- Compliance Management: Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to ensure efficient service delivery and statutory obligations are met.
- Training and Coaching: Provide expert training and coaching to enforcement-based officers, promoting best practices in investigations.
- Customer Service and Leadership: Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers.
To succeed in this position, you should bring relevant experience in performing legal functions, facilitation, and coaching, along with a sound knowledge of relevant legislation.
Key Skills and Qualifications- A tertiary qualification in law or equivalent, backed by experience in law enforcement.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal functions, including representation as an advocate.
- Proven facilitation and coaching abilities.
- In-depth understanding of Local Government Acts and legislation.
- Ability to undergo a satisfactory criminal history check.
- An employment-based Working with Children check.
