**The Department**
The Clinical Governance Unit (CGU) consists of two staff streams (Patient Safety, Quality & Improvement and Clinical & Enterprise Risk Management) who work closely together to drive the implementation of systems and processes to support risk management, patient safety and quality improvement across Alfred Health.
**The Role**
The Legislative Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the management, governance and oversight of Alfred Health's legislative compliance obligations. The role works closely with the Quality and Safety Data Systems Manager to provide direction to Alfred Health's Legislative Compliance Framework and to administer the legislative compliance system. They will support compliance managers to review the relevant legislation, complete obligation self - assessments and to document evidence of compliance and action plans to address partial or non-compliance.
This role sits within the Patient Safety, Quality & Improvement stream
**Qualifications & Experience Required**
- Tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated experience in implementing legislative compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in implementing policy and guideline framework in a large organisation
- Experience in project management
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a complex environment.
- Proven ability to engage, collaborate with and influence a diverse group of internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem solving and lateral thinking capability.
