**About the position**

Council’s Safer Communities Department are looking for a Parking Officer who will be responsible for efficient Parking Enforcement services in accordance with the _Road Safety Road Rules 2017 _and other parking regulations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Conduct daily routine and regular patrols throughout the municipality and issue infringement notices for parking breaches using Council’s electronic infringement system;
- Maintain timely and accurate records in relation to Infringement Notices and all work undertaken; and
- Ensure detailed notes are recorded for all relevant incidents and escalate to the Senior Safer Communities Officer (Parking & Litter) as required.

This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week.

**About you**
- A broad understanding of the wider functions of Council’s Parking Enforcement Services and operations;
- Well developed administrative skills;
- A working knowledge of relevant parking enforcement procedures, legislation, regulations and Council local laws; and
- Knowledge of the administrative functions associated with Parking Infringements.

This position is a Band 4 currently remunerated $72,896.56 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
