**About the role**

Yakima Australia is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer to join our team in Brendale, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your strong accounting skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As the Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts receivable and payable functions, including credit analysis and enquiries, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting overall financial operations.

**What you'll be doing**
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, follow-up on overdue payments, and resolving customer queries
- Prepare and review overdue and doubtful debtors reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting tasks, such as account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Provide support to the broader finance team as needed

**What we're looking for**:

- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable and payable.
- Experience with SAP.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals
