Our client is a national supplier of building products to the construction industry. With a head office in Strathpine we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Control Officer / Finance Assistant / Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team on a permanent part time basis.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the company's credit and collections processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices, and maintaining accurate records.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure timely payment of invoices and monitor customer accounts for payment discrepancies and other irregularities.
- Work with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans as needed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all transactions, including customer payments and account adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with customers, internal staff and management regarding credit and collections issues.
- Assist with various finance and accounting tasks as required.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in credit control and collections, preferably in construction, building supplies or related industry.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

This is a part-time position (25 - 27.5 hours per week), with flexibility around hours worked across 5 days a week. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
