**About Us**

NEPEAN Building & Infrastructure (a division of NEPEAN) represents iconic brands - Galintel®, Weldlok® and Galserv® which services industries across Civil, Architectural, Mining, Construction and Galvanising.

Galserv has provided Hot-Dip Galvanising services in Sydney since 1963 and is currently one of the largest Hot-Dip Galvanisers in Australia and a founding member of the Galvanizers Association of Australia.

**Our Opportunity**

GALSERV’s Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day production of the Yagoona, NSW galvanising plant. This role posses a broad range of duties including the management of Operational staff, ensuring WHSE and quality compliance and the implementation and execution of continuous improvement processes.

Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Monitor and report operational KPI’s. Use this data in collaboration with Production Coordinators to identify improvement areas and strategies.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and the Scheduling Manager to create and deploy a production schedule that effectively balances and meets customer lead times.
- Assist with the development of risk assessments, standard operating procedures, worth method statements and position descriptions.
- Be a Workplace Culture Champion - foster, develop and enhance a happy and healthy environment on the workshop floor and beyond.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

**The Right Person**
- Degree qualifications in either Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Production/Manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a well-rounded Operations Manager position or similar.
- Proven experience in a production scheduling position or similar with a strong reporting function.
- Exposure to the Steel industry or similar would be highly advantageous.
- Knowledgeable on WHS&E policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage, coach and mentor Customer Service employees, Leading Hands and Production staff.
