**About the Role**
As the Business Development Officer, you'll excel in developing industry leads, engaging existing partners from unique start-ups to global tech industry giants, and expanding relationships.

This is an exceptional opportunity to launch or expand your career in business development while contributing to the growth of the APR.Intern program. You'll liaise with stakeholders across industry, government and academia, deepening your understanding of research impact through sector collaboration.

**Australian Postgraduate Research Intern (APR.Intern) **is Australia’s only national PhD and Masters by Research internship program spanning all sectors and disciplines.

APR.Intern connects postgraduate research students with industry through short-term placements, empowering students to thrive in a practical research environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Grow the APR.Intern internship pipeline
- Attend or present at events in person and online to promote the benefits of the program
- Work closely with universities on key strategic activities to identify academics and students for industry opportunities
- Collaborate with the APR.Intern team to oversee internship collaborations from start to finish, including contract management, administration, milestone tracking, and reporting. Ensure accurate documentation in Salesforce CRM.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You will bring your business development and customer service expertise coupled with demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work independently in a team environment.

You will also have:

- A relevant tertiary degree and extensive relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills with ability to communicate clearly and accurately to a variety of audiences using multiple channels
- Demonstrated ability to source and convert new business opportunities
- Demonstrated ability in critical thinking, influencing, and negotiation to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
