Pylon is a software platform that is changing the way solar is designed and delivered.
Our product gives solar installers an end-to-end solution to generate leads, design solar proposals, estimate energy production, and close solar sales. Pylon is divided into a Solar Design product, used by installers to design solar and generate proposals, and a Solar CRM.
Pylon is the fastest and easiest-to-use B2B solar design platform in the industry. Our 3D Shading Feature is award-winning, and the Solar Design product has been recognised for its contribution to the solar explosion in Australia. If you’ve seen solar panels on a roof, there’s a high chance that system was designed with Pylon.
As Pylon expands into other markets and consolidates its Australia customer-base, we need you to help us grow.
**About the team**:
We are a small and tight-knit team with a rewarding company culture. We have a dog-friendly office in Strathfield where we work out of most of the time. When COVID allows, we prefer to work
from the office, but you are welcome to split your time between office and remote.
Our culture is inclusive and meritocratic without many of the drawbacks you will find at corporate companies. You will enjoy working here while playing a part in the green revolution.
**What you’ll do**:
- **Demos** - you will need to learn the software in and out and show our customers how it works, as well as answer any questions.
- **Phone sales** - reach out over the phone and engage with customers about sales enquiries.
- **Proactive outreach** - reach out to new leads and meet their needs with Pylon
- **Account management** - help our key accounts succeed and show them how they can improve their service by using more of our product
- **Improve the Sales Process** - Manage the sales funnel and suggest improvements to make it tighter
**You**:
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role as a BDM, Sales Manager or Account Manager
- At least 3 years experience in a SaaS sales role
- A strong track record in finding, nurturing and closing opportunities
- Demonstrated experience using remote demos to sell software
- Demonstrated experience in upselling accounts
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Independent / self-starter
- Accessible, approachable, and collaborative
**Nice to haves**:
- Solar industry experience, or understanding of solar installers and retailer audiences will be highly regarded.
- Experience selling to a global customer base
