Join a Government Department as an AO3 Communications Officer on a long term contract

**Your new company**

Our client is a reputable and well known government department based centrally on the Gold Coast. Due to their current demand and work load, an AO3 Communications Officer is required to join their team on a contract basis.

**Your new role**

As the Communications Officer, you will be involved in multiple infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for:

- Assist in the development of and implementation of communication strategies to the public
- Development of project flyers and distribution of project updates to the community
- Stakeholder engagement
- Provide advice to Project Directors, managers and other staff in the areas of communications strategies

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful as the Communications Officer, you will have:

- Previous experience in a Communications or Public Relations role (minimum of 2 years)
- Demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of attention to detail
- A positive attitude and great work ethic
- The ability to work full time Monday - Friday
