**The Role**
The role of the Health Policy Coordinator provides:

- Governance over various steering groups and working groups, including management of calendar invites, agendas, coordination of agenda items, meeting packs, drafting minutes, updating the Risks/Issues register, and being involved with post-meeting activities such as tracking actions and facilitating briefs.
- Assistance to the Health Policy Team Leader, which includes assisting with publishing and managing the content of health policy, and developing associated briefs. Development, review and updating of web forms and related briefs; and assisting with health policy research activity relating to Freedom Of Information requests, Parliamentary Business artefacts and other government requests (such as Royal Commissions and parliamentary inquiries).
- Management over the Health Policy group inbox and distribution lists.
- Management of health policy standard operation procedures.
- Administration of the Defence Health Policy Share Point Tracker.

This recruitment process is being used to fill a non-ongoing position for 12 months.

A merit pool of suitable applicants may be established following the conclusion of this recruitment process and used to fill similar ongoing and non-ongoing roles across the Department over the next 18 months.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Defence Health Policy resides under the Health Protection and Policy Branch within Joint Health Command (JHC). The Health Policy Team (the Team) is responsible for the management of Defence's health policy within the Defence Health Manual (DHM), coordinating the development, review, amendment and cancellation of health policy and associated policy artefacts.

The Team provides administrative and secretariat support to the Defence Health Policy Steering Group (DHPSG) and the Defence Health Policy Working Group (DHPWG). These forums review and determine if health policies are fit for purpose and align with best practice principles.

This work supports JHC's contribution to ADF capability and care for defence people through the provision of informed, well considered and best practice, principles-based health policies.
