Accountabilities
- working to prevent concurrent prescribing between practitioners, and
- ptimising safe prescribing of drugs by ensuring adherence to relevant clinical guidelines by prescribers.
- Utilise your background, professional experience and/or qualifications in the field of healthcare to engage and liaise with health professionals and colleagues on relevant legislation and policies to:

- assist health practitioners to make treatment decisions consistent with the safety of the patient,
- promote high standards of regulatory compliance with respect to drugs and poisons, and
- enhance health practitioners' understanding of and adherence to legislative requirements.
- Prepare operations and practice initiatives to meet the strategic directions for managing and delivering high quality services.
- Develop compliance and evaluation strategies to address issues related to the effective provision and implementation of required outcomes.
- Contribute detailed advice, recommendations and program options and solutions to complex and sensitive issues.
- Interpret and support the implementation and delivery of practical and policy initiatives.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
