Coordinating Registrar, Drug and Alcohol Treatment
2 weeks ago
About us
The DATC is a division of the County Court that allows for a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Order as a sentencing option for high risk, high needs individuals with a drug or alcohol dependency who have committed associated criminal offences. The foundational purpose of the Drug Court is to promote recovery and, through the rehabilitation of the person, to protect the community from further substance-driven offending.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Project Officer, the CCV DATC Coordinating Registrar holds the responsibility for overseeing and coordinating a range of administration functions that support the daily operations of the DATC. This role focuses on coordinating relevant DATC court processes and works closely with Judges and their Associates to ensure that the court operates efficiently and effectively. The Coordinating Registrar is often the first point of contact for referrals to the DATC, and is pivotal in building key stakeholder relationships.
Located in the Melbourne CBD, this role requires high-level stakeholder engagement in a complex, multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary environment. Strong communication skills, team work and strong stakeholder management skills are key to the successful delivery of this role.
About you
Please note there may be an option to extend this opportunity if the DATC pilot is extended. Training on the DATC will be provided.
