Your new organisation

This large Government Trading Entity has a vacancy for Contract Manager to join their team for an initial 6-month temporary assignment with the opportunity to transition to a fixed term contract after that. Your new role

In this role you will be responsible for the creation, issue and evaluation of bids and award of contracts for the procurement of capital and operation acquisitions for the organisation. Further duties include:
Participate in the development and implementation of procurement change initiatives
Ensure compliance with the organisation’s contract terms and conditions
Provide contract planning advice, support and consultancy throughout the organisation
Assessing tenders and quotations
Provide recommendations on tender submissions
Prepare and issue letters of acceptance, contracts and working documents
Ensure that tender and contract documents align with corporate policies and standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

Demonstrated capability in procurement and contract management
Sound knowledge of contract and commercial law
Knowledge of procurement and contract related legislation
Ability to foster strong relationships
Excellent computing skills and proficiency in Microsoft suite
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Experience in the engineering or construction industry will be highly regarded
