**About the role**

This is a newly created role to enable DGS to roll out SAP SuccessFactors to 3 Victorian government departments and seven government agencies as part of DGS's mission to improve government services for everyone. You'll be part of an innovative and collaborative team entrusted with delivering a vital shared service for over 4,000 employees and driving significant efficiencies and productivity gains throughout government.

Reporting to the Senior Payroll Controller, the Payroll Controller is responsible for ensuring fortnightly pay runs in SAP SuccessFactors are run accurately and on time. The Payroll Controller role also has responsibility for processing third party payments and deductions, completing End of Financial Year processing activities, bulk pay changes in line with the VPS Enterprise Agreement, PDP progression outcomes and finance reconciliations and salary recalls, as required.

**Key Accountabilities include**
- Conduct fortnightly pay runs using the SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Control Centre in accordance with payroll processing timeframes.
- Maintain post payroll processing, including contribution remittances to superannuation deduction companies.
- Liaise with third party payment vendors and internal finance teams regarding payments and deductions, ensuring accurate pay information is provided to vendors and finance teams.
- Maintain and create new superannuation funds in the system and undertake clearing house activities for these funds for each pay run.
- Perform first level investigation and analysis of the HR data captured in the department's HR information system (SAP SuccessFactors).

**About you**

To be considered for the role, you must:

- Exercise high level of attention to detail when processing employee payroll information changes to ensure employee payments are processed accurately.
- Have strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders; ability to tailor communications and use content according to the audience and/or audience preference.
- Have the ability to take on a range of tasks and adjust approach and priorities to suit to changing requirements. Adapts systems and processes quickly to changed priorities and situations.

**Mandatory requirements**

Experience with Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and Employee Central (EC) modules in SAP SuccessFactors in end to end payroll processing with a focus on data accuracy and reporting.
