**The Role**
Within this role, you will provide support to the Financial Controller in ensuring the seamless operation of the payroll function across the entire organisation. This encompasses various payroll processes in global regions, managed through external providers. The Australian payroll system encompasses both blue and white-collar employees, with added intricacies related to factors such as overtime, penalties, and shift calculations. The company has undergone substantial growth in the past three years, and this upward trajectory is projected to persist over the upcoming 18 months.
Reporting to the Financial Controller duties will include:
- Support fortnightly / monthly payroll transactions
- Payroll compliance & audit assistance
- Bonus calculation & distributions
- New starters
- terminations
- Payroll Tax
- Superannuation
- Managing workers compensation
- Month end journals
- Time & Attendance Project
- Support Payroll Process Improvement
- Leadership of a small Payroll team
**Your Profile**
This role is well suited to someone who thrives in fast paced & ever-changing environment. To excel in this position, previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but the eagerness to enhance your skill set is equally important. You will have managed a payroll function in its entirety & ideally driven process improvement / systems projects. Effective time management and strong organizational skills are essential attributes for this role. Furthermore, excellent communication and data presentation abilities are crucial, as you'll be responsible for cultivating relationships with the Senior Leadership Team. Managing external vendors will also be a part of the role, making the ability to establish trust and rapport of utmost importance.
