**About the Role**

The Executive Manager Clinical Governance will be responsible for high level collaboration across Uniting’s service lines in the continuous systemic improvement of clinical and quality outcomes, minimising risk and harm across Uniting’s client cohort.

This role is focused on providing strategic vision, defined professional and healthcare standards, and robust systems of quality assurance in the areas of clinical practice and care. The Executive Manager Clinical Governance will provide professional leadership and expert resource to service leaders across Uniting in a shared governance model, working with other directorates on the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of healthcare governance frameworks.

**About You**

Reporting directly to the Director of Governance, Risk & Quality and indirectly to the CEO and operating as a key member of the leadership team, the Executive Manager Clinical Governance will deliver service improvements that ensure safe, effective, person-centred care. Additionally, they will:

- Define the priorities and appropriate outcomes for the Clinical Governance team in your specific areas of accountability.
- Communicate Uniting strategies to their employees in engaging ways, translate these into meaningful work and a genuine understanding of a One Uniting way of operating.
- Provide leadership, working productively and positively as a role model across Uniting.
- Ensure the organisational adherence to Care and Clinical Governance Policy and maintain the quality and safety of their residents/clients.
- Implement and monitor the sustainability of Care and Clinical Governance Framework, which include quality and safety reporting analysis and assurance
- Provide clinical leadership on key areas of clinical safety, governance and learning and development.
- Maintain a robust accreditation framework, and track performance against this across all service directorates.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in work related to the areas of clinical care; medical sector, social services, and/or in relevant policy making agencies
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in coordination and management of a clinical risk program
- Conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing timely, successful recommendations and advice on policies, strategies and solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of public health policy issues including evidence-based practice, health care safety and quality, social service evaluation, health and social care funding and resource allocation.
- Experience in Executive and Board level relationships.
- Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration (essential).
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant area Health related discipline.
