APG Workforce are currently seeking an Executive Support Officer for a 12-month contract for a Government sector in Sydney CBD.

**Primary purpose of the role**
- Manage and coordinate a range of high-level executive, strategic and policy priorities, in consultation with the Executive Director, to support the achievement of the organisation's strategic and operational objectives.
**Key accountabilities**
- Drive research and the preparation of strategic advice, information and reports on diverse and complex strategic, policy and operational matters to enable informed decision making and the effective delivery of the directorate's program of work.
- Provide high level strategic issues management advice and support, responding to emerging issues and risks, to enable effective resolution with mínimal risk to the directorate.
- Coordinate the collection of information required for periodic and ad hoc reporting, ensuring reports are collated and distributed to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner to facilitate information sharing, meet reporting requirements and inform decision making.
- Lead and/or contribute to internal projects, and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, to support the achievement of priority strategic and operational objectives.
- Lead and oversight the management and coordination of incoming briefs and correspondence tasks relevant to the office of the Executive Director to ensure correspondence and briefings are in order for the Executive Director's signature.
- Lead the preparation, management and review of correspondence, briefings, reports, submissions and notes issued by the office of the Executive Director that are comprehensive, timely and accurate.
- Represent the Executive Director at meetings and other events as required to ensure the policies, strategies and viewpoints of the directorate are accurately represented to enable informed decision making on agency wide projects.
- Oversight the implementation and evaluation of administrative practices, systems and procedures across the directorate to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes and the implementation of consistent business and administrative practices.
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of, and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in the provision of high-level executive support services.
