Hays Life Sciences are working with a biotechnology sponsor that are continuing to expand their APAC presence. With a talented Clinical Research team now present in Australia and New Zealand running local and global cutting-edge trials, the Senior Clinical Research Manager will manage a team of direct reports in ensuring the Phase I-IV trials are run in accordance with ICH-GCP, regulatory and quality requirements. You will be managing a team of experienced Clinical Research professionals locally that form part of a broader, larger international team. This role has flexible working arrangements with the expectation of the Clinical Research Manager to attend in-person meetings, when necessary, in Sydney.

**Your new role**
- The Clinical Research Manager is responsible for a team of clinical research professionals, hiring and training new team members, retaining and developing the team effectively.
- You will deliver quality administrative and managerial support, performing assessments and ensuring a balanced workload for the team.
- Ensuring all team members have the accepted level of monitoring area knowledge and skills to successfully deliver to protocol and study requirements to business requirements.
- Guaranteeing that trial site selection, activation, enrolment, data flow, and timeline commitments align with the established Monitoring KPI trial objectives.
- Assessing the progress of site start-up and patient recruitment, comparing planned targets with actual results, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement corrective strategies for any deviations from the initial plan.
- You will have exceptional site management skills and a proven ability to resolve complex compliance issues through effective problem-solving and mediation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- You will have solid people management experience, with understanding of career development, progression, and performance management.
- At least 3 years’ experience within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry.
- At least 2 years' experience managing a Clinical Research or Clinical Operations Team.
- Thorough understanding of the international aspects of drug development process, including expert knowledge of international standards (GCP/ICH), health authorities (CNDA), local/National Health Authorities regulations.
