Accor's Ibis Sydney Thornleigh have an exciting opportunity for a rising star to join the team as Front Office Manager.
**Job Description**:
As 2IC to the GM, assist in leading the team throughout the daily operations of our unique little economy hotel. This role still involves shift work, but allows the individual the ability to learn all parts of the hotel business; Front Office, Reservations, Night Audit, Housekeeping, Engineering and Food & Beverage.
Working closely with the GM, ensuring that standards are maintained in these areas, profitability maximized and customer’s needs met. A great opportunity to work with a supporting leader, work in an awesome team and learn a lot in preparation for that next step in your career.
**What You Will Be Doing**:
- Leading the team with the GM through the daily hotel operations and doing a bit of all things hotel related, which can include assisting with AM and PM coverage.
- Assisting the departments within the hotel when needed - kitchen, housekeeping, night audit, maintenance & front office operations - if you have experience making a bed or flipping a burger, we want you
- Day to day you will be overseeing reception operations; from checking in guests to handling member queries as well as making sure all aspects of the hotel are flowing smoothly. Back of house will see you completing tasks such as hotel ordering, rosters and reporting but don’t fret if you don’t know how to do this, a willingness to learn is all that is required.
- Supporting, nurturing and empowering our Heartists through the daily operations and their own hospitality journey.
- Supporting GM with various projects and crazy ideas to improve the hotel, customers experience and the workplace culture.

- Firm but fair - has the ability to easily manage a team to perform the best of their abilities
- You know front office like the back of your hand, but have a strong desire to learn more
- A love for working in Hotels
- First aid certificate + RSA or willingness to get both
