As the Executive Assistant you will work with limited supervision as part of the Region in the WHS Compliance and Field Services directorate to support theRegional Director. The successful applicant will be required to work from the Mt Gravatt office 1-2 days per week in line with Regional Director requests.
You'll be part of a dynamic and diverse culture, working alongside supportive and passionate people.
OIR contributes to the government's strategic objectives in the areas of workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation, industrial relations and labour hire regulation.We seek to improve work health and safety, electrical safety and workers' compensation performance through regulatory and policy frameworks and the provision of evidenced-based services and advice. We also develop, implement and maintain policy and legislation relevant to industrial relations in Queensland including whole of Government responsibility for public sector enterprise bargaining and the regulation of Queensland's labour hire industry.
As the Executive Assistant you will work with limited supervision in the WHS Compliance and Field Services directorate to support the Regional Director.
**Key responsibilities include**:

- Prepare briefs and correspondence on behalf of the Regional Director as required.
- Provide administrative assistance and executive support to the Region including co-ordinating event facilities, travel management, general administration and records management.
- Maintain information systems for the recording and management of referrals.
- Provide quality advice to management and staff with regards to workforce, financial, correspondence, reporting and general administrative services to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Deal professionally with sensitive and confidential issues that arise.
- Effective diary management including organising, coordinating, and scheduling appointments and meetings.
- Participate as a member of the team, provide high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients, and contribute effectively to the achievement of regional outcomes.
- Work with a high degree of autonomy using initiative and judgement to resolve immediate problems.
- Undertake relevant activities delegated by the Regional Director to assist with the effective operation of the Region.

**Key capabilities for this role include**:

- Demonstrated experience in preparing and editing correspondence, policy or briefing documents, including the use of style guides, templates and other corporate standards.
- Proven time management and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, undertake a range of administrative duties, work with mínimalsupervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal withsensitive issues and confidential material.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team, including the ability to establish work priorities and meet predetermined deadlines and commitments.
