Are you a Project Support Professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Project Support Officer for a 12+ month contract, working directly to support the Project Manager on cutting-edge Military projects in the Canberra.

Project Support Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the Project Control function based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake specialist research and analysis, conduct reviews and perform procedural and administrative support work to achieve results.

The successful applicant should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in project support and have experience working withing a Defence Environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members.
- engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
- Effective and efficient support to the project management teams across
- Prepare correspondence, briefs, and reports as required including submissions and documents for higher delegate consideration.
- Input into program schedules, milestones and assessing risk and identifying issues and concerns.
- Support the establishment and implementation of business support functions at the program level, including on boarding practices and procedures.
- Support the management of the SPO Operations inbox, including triage and escalation of urgent requests across the program.

Required skills
- Appropriately qualified in and experienced in project support.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Well-developed Defence writing skills.
- Resilience in a highly demanding, constantly changing work environment.
- CASG / Military aerospace domain experience highly desirable
- Current NV1 Security clearance
