**About This Role**

**What you’ll do**:

- Lead a fully functioning Private Label business across Buying, NPD, QA and Sustainability, Sensory, artwork and design.
- Manage a private label program in excess of 2200 exclusive sku’s. Full top line accountability for the performance of the private label business ensuring a competitive price and sustainable profitability for both retailers and Metcash
- Building partnerships, and sourcing relationships with suppliers to deliver and maintain successful and competitive Private Label products.
- Set and Implement strategic roadmap to enhance private label program in categories and sub categories
- To support the implementation of our Brand standards across the portfolio
- Manage supplier, consumer and quality control issues on our exclusive range sold to our valued independent retails
- To plan and market product development through launches ,relaunches and reinstated ranges

**What you’ll bring**:

- Business leader with 10+ years in commercial leadership role
- Part of a leadership team in strategy creation and planning, strong leader with a track record of delivering commercial outcomes, continuous improvement, change and growth initiatives.
- Extensive experience across the retail sector in private label and product development, preferably with independent retailers
- Proven negotiation skills that build robust partnerships with suppliers for mutual growth that deliver for today and tomorrow.
- Strong commercial skills with intimate knowledge of the drivers of success in a Category P&L
