**How will I Help?**
As an Event Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for providing first class event marketing solutions to the Westpac Group, including high quality delivery that:

- Brings to life the brand strategy;
- Puts the customer at the centre of everything we do;
- Supports the group’s sustainability agenda;
- Positions the group as the leading financial services company in Australia and New Zealand.

The Event Coordinator role is responsible for assisting in the management of the events portfolio within Westpac including:

- Provide event support and administrative assistance to all members of the Events team
- Set up and schedule webcasts for the AV Team
- Update and maintain the accuracy of master event calendars on a timely basis
- Schedule fortnightly Events team meetings and develop agendas for each
- Be able to build effective working relationships with internals and external key stakeholders
- Arrange regular supplier meetings on behalf of the team and manage the accurate processing of all invoices
- Ensure compliance to relevant internal processes, risk procedures, compliance and legislative requirements
- Maintain content on the Events team OneNote and event templates
- Assist Event Managers/Specialists with the printing, production and collation of event collateral, packing and unpacking of event toolboxes
- Manage the timely distribution of event materials with courier companies
- Assist members of the team with event budget reconciliations, pCard reconciliations, event reporting, travel bookings and other event support where required
- Conduct research into venues, speakers, AV, entertainment, theming and merchandise where required
- Consistently re-evaluate working practices in terms of efficiency, innovation and cost cutting procedures and seek out and implement new practices where required

**What do I need?**
Knowledge/Qualifications/ Experience
- Demonstrated experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar role within a Financial Services or a corporate environment would be highly desirable
- Strong experience and skills in managing administrative processes and procedures on a timely basis
- Ability to engage and influence people internally and externally
- Strong background in working with others to achieve outcomes
- Ability to transfer creative ideas into an outcome
- Identify and address areas of risk within the business and our event processes
- Tertiary qualifications in event management, marketing, communications, or another related discipline would be an advantage but not essential.

Technology Capabilities
- Advanced level Microsoft Outlook, OneNote, Teams, Planner, Excel, Word and PowerPoint desirable
- An understanding of digital technology in the events space, including webcasting, streaming, podcasts, interactive voting, webinars, social media an advantage
- An understanding e-marketing and event management systems (particularly Aventri) preferable.
