**About the role**

We are growing our consulting services and have an opportunity for a Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) professional to join the team. With flexible and hybrid working options, this role could provide the perfect opportunity for you to begin or continue your career in health and safety.

For those in the early stages of their career, the role will focus on basic to moderate enquiries in relation to health and safety legislation, regulation and best practice. Full training and support will be provided.

For more experienced professionals, the role is responsible for providing high quality consulting services including verbal and written advice to Victorian Chamber members and clients in all aspects of health and safety advice and services.

We provide advice and support on a broad range of issues including:

- Reviewing, advising on and devising practical and compliant Safety Management Systems and various components therein.
- Drafting risk assessments, safe work method statements, safe work procedures
- Conducting audits, gap analyses, and making relevant improvement recommendations against legislation and/or recognized Australian and Global Standards
- Conducting, managing and reviewing incident investigations and conducting root cause analyses
- Advising on Workers Compensation claims, representing members and clients in conciliation and assisting with return-to-work plans
- Supporting, advising and representing members and clients in resolving HSW issues involving employees and third parties, including unions.

**About you**

As a passionate HSW professional with advanced communication skills you will possess any of the following:

- Minimum diploma level qualification plus minimum five years work experience in HSW or a related area;
- Demonstrated experience in some or all of the health and safety consulting services identified above;
- Commercially minded with an ability to seek, recognise, develop and convert new consulting opportunities;
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex and specialised issues and communicate them in a user-friendly manner;
- Ability to distil complex legislation and regulation in to simple, practical solutions;
- Broad knowledge of HSW and Workers’ Compensation legislation; \Strong written and verbal presentation skills;
- Excellent customer service skills.
