**The Opportunity**

The ‘Organisational Health and Safety Consultant’ role is a three-month contract opportunity with a key focus on Workers Compensation and Return to Work initiatives. Working with our client you will implement and maintain systems, processes and data to enable the identification and minimisation of OHS risks and contribute to the development of appropriate actions and strategies to minimise risk.

**To Be Successful**
- Expert knowledge of all statutory obligations met under Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2007 and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and relevant regulations.
- Providing specialist advice to stakeholders on the implementation of relevant Management Systems through the provision of practical onsite support and assistance.
- Proficiency to consult on areas such as legislative requirements, policies & procedures, monitoring and internal audits, incident reporting, and risk assessments.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to identify and develop proactive programs to deal with issues, hazards or emerging risks.
- Project management around OSW Auditing programs to monitor the implementation of the OSW Management System.
- Participation in OSW committees providing strategic support and advice.
- Management of strategic objectives as applicable in the OSW Plan for the OSW team to identify trends and recommend safety initiatives to reduce the risk of occupational injury/illness.
- Delivery of data reporting and analysis, on all health safety and wellbeing aspects in accordance with the OSW Plan.

Additional knowledge, skills and experience required include:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience, including knowledge and skills over a broad range of health, safety and wellbeing activities
- Demonstrated experience in Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing within high-risk environments
- Proven experience in the proactive management of worker compensation, claims and the management of claims costs.
