**Who is the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator?**
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as a national entity responsible for
regulating all vehicles in Australia over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. Located in Brisbane, the NHVR minimises the
compliance burden on the heavy vehicle transport industry, reduces duplication and inconsistencies across state and
territory borders, and ultimately for the heavy vehicle business with government in Australia.

Position Description | Facilities and Fleet Specialist - Southern Operations

The Corporate Services Division provides strategic vision and purpose through strategic planning, corporate governance,
performance improvement and the delivery of corporate services.

**Primary Objective**
The Commercial Services Specialist supports the Southern Operations division by delivering effective facilities and fleet
management across the Southern Operations (SA/VIC/TAS) portfolio to ensure facilities and vehicles are safe, available
and fit for purpose to enable NHVR on roads activities and organisational functions. This role will work as a critical
conduit between internal stakeholders, building management and fleet suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:

- Develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement in facilities and fleet management, sourcing, category,
- contract, and supplier management.- Establish, deliver, and manage the region’s fleet management capability and support framework including the

contract management of fleet finance and supply contracts for passenger, light commercial vehicles, and mobile
plant.
- Facilitate the Southern Operations facility and fleet requirements with a focus on Southern Region’s planning long

term, medium
- and short-term requirements.
- Provide support to the Manager Commercial Services.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement by embracing opportunities and innovations that lead to improved
- service delivery, technology efficiency and integration across the fleet.- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including fleet providers, financiers, suppliers
- and other government departments to ensure value for money and outcomes that reflect the needs of the NHVR.- Facilitate processes for the regular review of the physical condition of individual sites and vehicles.
- Lead in co-ordinating maintenance for facility and fleet related matters.
- Prepare documents such as reports and briefing notes to the Manager Commercial Services, ensuring accuracy and
- high integrity of content and timely delivery.- Positively promote and actively model NHVR values and behaviours to support the delivery of our service.
- Lead the delivery of the Southern Operations Asset Management Plan.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to the Director Procurement and Commercial Services, Director Southern
- Operations and Manager Commercial Services.- Adhere to all NHVR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NHVR internal processes.
- Comply with WH&S policies and procedures and contribute and promote a safe and health work environment.
